Havana Bar Photography Project: Capturing Character and Personality
Havana Bar is a historic gem in Wellington, housed in a pair of long-standing, colourful 19th-century cottages. Known for its vibrant atmosphere and rich character, the bar has become an iconic spot in the city, blending a lively Cuban-inspired charm with Wellington’s unique culture.
For my triptych photography project, I chose Havana Bar as my subject to delve into the hidden life and personality within the building. Through its intricate details, splashes of colour, and textured features, I aimed to capture the essence of its story. This project allowed me to explore the interplay of light, shadow, and texture, revealing the deeper layers of a space brimming with history and vibrancy.
